Who?

Having received a degree in Economics from Marmara University, Ali Bahçuvan started his professional career as a member representative (broker) and went on to work alternately as investment expert, fund manager, strategist and economist.
 
He left his professional career in 2011 and began to manage only his own investment activities. Between 2002 and 2005, Bahçuvan gave lectures as a faculty member at Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences. He became the founding president during the establishment of BORYAD (Turkish Shareholders Association) in 2001. During his presidency, BORYAD has been granted full membership with veto rights by the international investors’ federation Euro shareholders (European Federation of Investors) and the WFIC (World Federation of Investors). The following provision of the European Federation of Investors’ statutory rule “Non-EU countries cannot be granted full membership” was changed to “Turkey is admitted to full membership although it is not EU member.” Euro shareholders has also held its general assembly in Turkey as a host of BORYAD to protest the visa regime applied to Turkey.
 
Bahçuvan has attended general assemblies abroad of Turkish companies bought by multinational corporations and protected Turkish investors’ rights. Bahçuvan is currently engaged in investments and partnerships both in Turkey and abroad and speeds up his investments in energy, technology, and Internet. 
 
Meanwhile he is engaged in regaining the natural domestic seeds, traditional and organic certificated agriculture , groving olive and producing olive oil and rural tourism in the places which he has inherited from his family in Thrace Region and places which he has newly obtained in Aegean Region.
